The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses of different levels (including studio) in Interior Design.

Adjunct Assistant Professor in Interior Design – Architecture Department

Architecture Department invites applications for adjunct faculty position of Interior Design, beginning Spring 2023. Candidates for this position must hold a terminal degree (Master or PhD) in Interior Design. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses of different levels (including studio) in Interior Design.

The application package should include a detailed resume, portfolio, a detailed description of teaching philosophy including courses taught and summary of the student feedback, in addition to research statement. Applicant must submit also a cover letter where extent of experience with CIDA or other accrediting bodies must be indicated.

Required Qualifications:

• Master or Ph.D. degree in interior design from an accredited institution of higher education

• Related practical industry experience

• Excellent skills in software used by interior designers

• Strong record of engagement in activities related to interior design profession (exhibitions, workshops, etc.)

• Relevant university teaching experience

• Excellent English oral and written communication skills

• Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high-impact educational practices

• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines
