The Inventory Controller is responsible to effectively plan and control inventories at the location level to maximize sales, inventory and profit. Ensure the company’s commitment to be in stock on key items and ensure correct store quantities. Direct the distribution of goods to achieve store sales / turn / gross margin goals.
DO — Key Responsibilities
STOCK DISTRIBUTION AND LOGISTICS
Liaise with Warehouse regularly for stock movement from Warehouse to stores
Ensuring price revisions is implemented in the stores and all barcodes affixed, highlighted with the necessary VM signage’s (Best Buy)
Allocation of stocks to stores as per shelf quantities.
Monitoring of Jebel Ali stocks and sending stock requirements to respective buyers in consultation with the Brand Manager
To be continuously updated of pending shipments and ETA dates.
Review and analyse stock and sales reports monitoring inventory and ensuring sufficient stock holdings at stores at all times
Ensuring products classified into correct departments and subgroups
Studying the stock status every store, working in consultation with the Brand Manager
Analysing and advising on monthly movement report for slow / fast moving lines for appropriate action to be taken
Ensure the ageing analysis for all brands are reviewed and analysed.
Effectively deal with fast / slow lines, new ranges and end of ranges and take corrective action
Clear damages in stores and warehouse periodically with the respective reason codes.
Local purchase orders to be done on weekly basis
Shortages and damages received, to be recorded in 24hrs and documentation completed within 48hours
Status of shipments pending with ETA dates
Status of pending distributions
System quantities are accurate and advise of any irregularity. Generating the Zero quantity report twice monthly
Item not found on system reports to be corrected and updated
GENERATING OF REPORTS
Generating weekly / monthly stock ageing report – Store wise /
Brand wise and take corrective actions as per price review norms in consultation with the Brand Manager
Collection of weekly damage summary reports and consolidation
To get list of the new GRN ‘s on a weekly schedule
Warehouse less than 3 quantity report – take corrective action
GRN made and not issued report – take corrective action
Showroom zero quantities and Warehouse report –take corrective action
Monthly reports to be submitted to the Concept Office as per requirement
Feedback to buyers on shortages / damages from suppliers
Brand review to be done on a weekly basis and to inform the buying department on Fast / Slow moving stocks.
Monthly product feedback to be sent to Concept Office
